Experiences Abroad

My Bachlor’s and Master’s Degree has been recognised in the UK by passing the IELTS and OET exams and registration with the UK General Medical Council (GMC), Full License to practice as a specialist in Anaesthesia in 2019. My specialist training as an anesthetist and Algologist took place in Italy and England where I worked as a Clinical Research Fellowship in Pain Medicine and Neuromodulation at Basildon University Hospital, London, UK in 2019/20 (Director Dr. S Thomson).
I attended Advanced Pain Training at the University of London in 2020.

My work philosophy

By studying and working abroad, I was able to forge my own mindset and working philosophy. I have tried to take the best from each of my teachers and develop the concept of professionalism, which requires one to perform to the best of one’s ability from a technical point of view, but also to let diligence, experience and prudence to lead the way, thus guaranteeing protection to the person assisted.

I am author of numerous publications in peer reviewed journals on chronic pain and author of book chapters on anesthesia and pain therapy.

Teacher/Tutor and Supervisor

I was lecturer at the two-year postgraduate course in Algological Sciences ISAL Foundation at the University of Palermo and University of Pavia at the University Master’s Degree Course in Pain Therapy.

I have been a speaker at numerous national and international congresses on Chronic and Neuropathic pain; I also was lecturer at classes on pain treatment and tutor on the use of ultrasound in pain therapy.

Member of Societies

I am an active member of numerous Italian and International societies of Anesthesia and Chronic Pain.
