Epidural and/or Transforaminal Pulsed Radiofrequency is a radio-guided procedure performed by inserting a needle in the centre of the dorsal root ganglion that releases an electric current that is not felt by the patient, triggering an electric field that can be reduced or eliminated altogether. This pain treatment is used to treat intercostal neuralgia, back pain, low back pain following a herniated disc or vertebral body surgery (FBSS).
